Changing the Standard Since 2018

Michelle Shorten believes exceptional property management starts with how you treat people - your clients, your tenants and your team.

As co-owner of Your Realty Gympie & Cooloola, Michelle brings more than 15 years of real estate experience to a leadership style grounded in integrity, compassion and personal accountability. She leads from within the business, supporting her team through challenging decisions, encouraging their development and setting clear expectations for thoughtful, professional service.

Overseeing the rental portfolio alongside her dedicated team, Michelle understands that every investment represents someone’s future and every rental is someone’s home. Her approach balances protecting landlords’ interests with treating tenants fairly and respectfully. Clients consistently recognise her responsiveness, clear communication and ability to make stressful situations feel more manageable.

Under her leadership, the property management team achieved RateMyAgent National Top 100 recognition and Gympie City and Suburb Winner awards in both 2025 and 2026. Alongside the agency’s more than 100 five-star Google reviews, these achievements reflect the trust earned through attentive service and lasting relationships.

Michelle continually explores ways to improve the client experience, embracing technology and developing practical resources while keeping personal connection at the centre of the business.

Her commitment to Gympie extends beyond property. She values opportunities to promote other local businesses, champion their work and encourage people to support the community they call home.

A devoted wife and mother, Michelle brings empathy and perspective to her work. Whether supporting a colleague, guiding a landlord or helping a tenant settle in, her aim is consistent: to lead honestly, listen carefully and ensure people feel valued.
